Online Therapy for Adult ADHD in North Carolina
If you have ADHD, you already know the drill: the pile of half-finished projects, the appointments you swore you wouldn't miss, the shame spiral after another day that got away from you. And the worst part — being told (or telling yourself) that you just need to try harder.
You don't need to try harder. You need strategies built for the brain you actually have.
ADHD isn't a focus problem. It's an everything problem.
ADHD touches time, motivation, emotions, and follow-through. It's time blindness that makes deadlines appear out of nowhere. It's rejection sensitivity that turns one critical comment into a week-long spiral. It's knowing exactly what to do and still not doing it — then drowning in shame about that, too. Most advice out there was written for neurotypical brains. We'll build something that works for yours.
How ACT helps with ADHD
I'm an ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) therapist, and ACT fits ADHD like few approaches do. Instead of fighting your brain, we build psychological flexibility: unhooking from the "I'm lazy / I'm broken" stories, getting clear on what actually matters to you, and taking action on those values — even on the days your brain has other plans. Practical tools, genuine conversation, goals that fit your real life. We'll celebrate every win, big or small.
